The Tidy Boys are Amadeus Mozart and Andy Pickles who are also the founders of the Tidy Empire. These include all the Tidy labels,;Tidy Trax, Tidy Two, Untidy and Synapse.
Along with the Tidy Events Team they are responsible for the Tidy Weekenders, Summer Camps,Magna events and one off events at various clubs in the UK including SeOne and and The Coronet in London and the Carling Academy in Scotland
With so much going on it’s hard to imagine the boys find time to continue their production and remix work which has spanned the last 10 years under various guises, such as Hyperlogic, Untidy Dubs, Tidy Boys and many more. The weekend sees the boys hitting clubs both here and oversees as they join their a-list friends behind the decks.
The Tidy Boys style now emphasises the full range of the new regenerated hard-edged sound, a concoction of hard funk, hard house and hard trance. Working as a DJ team they throw everything they’ve got into a dynamic performance, which brings their set into what can only be described as the ultimate set for the harder generation. Their set is a mixture of hard UK and European house, which is interacted with Tidy favorites old and new.
Along side running the company and studio production the boys have had to insert world travel into their busy schedule with DJ appearances in Japan, Canada, South Africa, USA, Hong Kong, Australia, Ibiza and Europe. Andy and Amadeus have played at virtually every hard house event in the UK including, Sundissential, Storm, Scream, Slinky and Garlands as well as playing festivals such as Creamfields, Gatecrasher Summer Sound System and Godskitchen Global Gathering.
With the demand building both at home and abroad, the Tidy Boys look set to continue their entertaining world domination of constantly spreading the Tidy word.
The launch of their weekly Saturday radio show across the Galaxy Network, (Galaxy 102 (Manchester), Galaxy 102.2 (Birmingham), Galaxy 105 (Yorkshire) and Galaxy 105-106 (North East), in the UK is the proof in the pudding as they expose clubbers nationwide to Music For A Harder Generation with guest mixes, interviews and competitions.
Rumour has it they are going into retirement in 2005. Is this true or just a rumour spread by the boys themselves? Time will tell.
