From an early age, Dion has been interested in all aspects of music, from touring Europe in a brass band, to securing the latest rave mix tapes from his friends at school. However, Dion’s interest in the clubbing scene really grew around 1998, when he began going to local club nights, later progressing to more serious hard house and trance nights, before realising the need to be a part of something he truly loved.
After purchasing his first set of decks at the age of 16, Dion set a goal for himself to pioneer his own mixing and technical style and push the boundaries of the music he adored. After receiving good feedback from people at a house party in early 2002, this (with the help of his
friends and his friendly, aproachable nature) led him on to his first set at a local club night in Birmingham. Playing a mixture of hard house and techno he received acolades for xperimenting with different styles and pushing the boundaries of all things “hard and dirty”, something which many local DJs followed. Through his uncompromising aproach to DJing and his willingness to help other lesser known DJ's has earned him respect on the scene for not compromising his individuality, and not elling out to other styles just to secure more sets. Quality is better than quantity, is a phrase he tries to emulate.
His lack of arrogance and his passionate aproach to DJing has led him to securing a number of residencies and peak time sets, and eventually has to the co-running of his own record label, Nosebleed Records.
His present residencies held are: Emergence : Men@Work : E:Volve
